The project is a health advocacy intervention, as it integrates and develops a set of actions aimed at defending the rights of students to promote their personal, family and social well-being. In an integrated approach, the role of partners from various public schools, teachers and students is considered important, in identifying students with economic vulnerabilities and in mobilizing synergies to minimize bureaucratic processes, maximizing healthy environments. This involves a partnership with the Nursing School of Coimbra (ESEnfC) to guarantee the necessary resources to identify students and manage the fund, with the ESEnfC’s Student Association and with the Portuguese National Federation of Nursing Student Associations (FNAEE).

The goal of the Phi-Xi Chapter Emergency Support Fund for Nursing Students Project (PFAECPHI-XIEE) is to contribute to the reduction of school dropouts and to promote the academic success of the nursing students living in proven situations of economic necessity. It is aimed at nursing students enrolled in national public nursing schools, addressing specific situations arising from unexpected economic difficulties with a negative impact on their academic performance.

The costs inherent to the PFAECPHI-XIEE are supported by initiatives developed by the PHI-XI Chapter, by student associations or by the National Federation of Nursing Students, by donations, or by protocols that may be established. However, if you are interested in contributing to the PFAECPHI-XIEE, you can do so in two ways:
